Publisher of the Leadership Group of Newspapers and All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant, Mr. Sam Nda-Isaiah, formally declared for the presidential race in Minna yesterday.
“I am in the presidential race to change the deplorable condition of things in the country,” he said.
The presidential aspirant, who was accompanied to the venue by another presidential aspirant, former vice president, Atiku Abubarkar, said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led Federal
Government had failed on all known fronts, saying it was time for Nigerians to effect a change.
Isaiah noted that the security challenge was getting worse by the day and harped on the need for all well-meaning Nigerians to join hands to salvage the country.
“We fought a civil war without borrowing to finance the war or embark on rehabilitation of the eastern Nigeria without external borrowing. But this government has borrowed $1 billion,” he said.
